MH Valuation

The economy in the last two years has been a ride. Fuel prices seems to be at the top of the discussion list. Wondering what the value of our coach was, I contacted my dealer. I was surprised to learn that our 9 year old coach could sell for 15% more than it would have before the pandemic. That doesn't make the fuel cost any less painful, but between the MH and increased valuation of our homes, I feel better on paper.

You might also be amazed at what you could get for selling your home during these special times too. Of course until you’re serious about following through, none of the dollar value today versus then matters until the deal gets closed.

Then……..what are your going to RV in, or live in, or drive in when you’re on the other side trying to buy in. The prices will be just as crazy on that end as to what people will want you to pay to buy in.

For now….I have a house, an RV, and our daily drivers.
Don’t know how much that totals, but today, they’re not for sale so prices are a mute point.

We were on the verge of listing our WI home this spring partly because we are only in it for 5 months and the amount the relator said it would sell for peaked our interest. However, what would we live in? Not the MH for sure. A downsized home would make sense, but none are available at a decent price. Selling the MH is not completely off the table. Other than traveling between homes twice a year, which we could do in a car, we only take a couple of side trips, which makes it an expensive luxury. We're just not quite ready to cut the cord yet, but these prices do make it tempting.
