Modern A's or C's with minimal or 0 slides?

Are there any modern new Class A's or C's that have very minimal slides (couch or dinette) or even better yet no slides? The wife and I feel it's just one more thing that could go wrong or break. We are gonna move up from a TT soon, but we are having trouble finding what we want.

Your right to be wary of slide problems but it's getting to the point where our one slide Moho wouldn't be enough for most buyers. If I were slide adverse I would get an older highest quality coach. There are some really nice ones out there for cheap.

Once you've had a slide, or two, or three, or four...you'll never be without them.

Lazy Daze makes fine Class C coaches, none of which have slides. A photo gallery of current coaches is at this link.

Wife and I recently got back into RV life, in our search for a class A with no slides found little to none. We bought an older used to keep away from the slides. In my long research I found most people who have slides have had numerous problems with them and we did not want issues either. With that said even though most all have had issues with the slides they still wanted them no matter how much trouble they were. Not our cup of tea but they are popular for many. We are very happy with our 28' with no slides for just the 2 of us. We mostly travel and don't stay in one spot for more than a day or two.

Winnebago Minnie Winnie/Spirit 25b. No slideout. Wouldn't work for most people, but we love ours.

If you look at cruiseamerica they sell their used class C's for typically about 19-20k. They have high mileage but they are totally remodeled on the inside before they sell to the customer. None of them have slides and you save a bunch of money

Pleasure-Way makes two different floor plan class C RV's with no slides.
No slides was one of my requirements and the Pleasure-Way Plateau XL was a perfect fit for us.

A service manager at a large RV dealership who I know and we have regular candid chats says that he would never own an RV with slides. He says, by far, the number one service issue he has with RV are slide problems. Over 50% of his service work is slide-out related . In addition, with each slide you lose Precious Cargo carrying capacity.

I suppose that's true on some rigs, others they just increase the frame strength, runnung gear strength and tire size. My rig has about 7,000#'s of CCC.

You're concerned about a problem that may never happen, it hasn't happened to us or many others since slides were first installed. And your cure is a problem that you will have to deal with every day, which is not enough room and bumping into each other when you're in your RV and trying to get past each other.

We just bought a 1995 RAVEN 31.5 foot (chevy powered) motor coach. Seems like it it going to work well for us. She's older and has a. Couple issues. But overall, we got it for a song and it will works for us!! NO PAYMENTS either! We already have a tow dolly and will be taking our 2015 keep renegade with us...

We had a TT with slides. Never knew if they would retract. Many times my wife ran the switch, and I pushed.

Just got back from 5 days in RV parks. TWICE our next door neighbors had to call in service truck, to get their slides back in!

Glad you have had no problems. But, do not assume it is everyones experience.

We went to a 1990 Bluebird Wanderlodge, no slides. 40'. TOP quality, much better than common brands. LOVE IT!

NO SLIDES! By choice. Have plenty of room.

Sorry, I really struggle with this line of thought.

"I found most people who have slides have had numerous problems with them and we did not want issues either."

There's a good reason coaches without slides are hard to find. Rather than discount the whole slide idea because you heard (or were told) some have trouble with them, it might be in your best interest to educate yourself regarding what works and what doesn't. Granted, there is some junk on the market. There are others with great track records. Rest assured the convenience gained by having one is well worth the extra trouble to find one that has a great reputation.
