Nearly ready to buy and go full time in Canada

Hi all

I'm a Canadian woman in my early 50s who is very tired of living in downtown Toronto and I fantasized about moving to an RV for a long time but I just realized I work online now so I can do it...

I am shopping for something around 28-35 ft that is a Class C or A... although the safety stuff on the class A has me more interested in a C except I fell in love with a 2001 Dutch star that looks impeccable...so there's that

Currently trying to figure out how to get an RV appraised in Canada because I'm not a mechanic so someone has to check that stuff for me

I feel like the best years for someone shopping 100K or less are 2000-2008 because I've read a lot of things that suggest that quality went down significantly after the crash in 2008 but I'm assuming the specifically 2008s were built okay... anyway any suggestions welcome

Might post in the Canadian Region https://www.irv2.com/forums/f68/ for rv appraisal recommendations when you are ready to buy.

Just a word of warning , about being a full time RVer in Canada .
Depending on the USA border guard you encounter ( if your plans include travel to the US) you maybe denied entry , because of your " no fixed address " status.

Join the Canadian Snowbird Association , and read up on the issue and the requirement of the US , IRS and filing an 8840 annually.

Ooohhhh I was hoping to convince my parents to let me use one of their addresses for my driver's license.. but I didn't realize this could be an issue for crossing the border so wow good to know
