New Member, With Questions

Hello. My name is Dave. I am new to the forum and to RVing. I was looking to purchase 1992 Winnebago Elante. We have had a large amount of rain the past couple of days. I went look at the MH and when i took it for a ride i discovered a light drip of water coming from the overhead light. It didn't drip for long, it was done in a couple of seconds. I looked everywhere with flashlight and could not find the leak. There is no sign of water damage anywhere. Any help or info would be appreciated. Than You.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

It may be a simple matter of re-sealing an opening on the roof, but you don't know how much damage has already been done above the ceiling. I would look for another RV! JMHO

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

IMO, a 30 year old WBGO with a roof leak is a money pit getting deeper by the day. Unless you are really handy repairing things yourself, and getting it for almost nothing, I would walk away-quickly.

I see so many used rv's with obvious evidence of water leaks. If there are no obvious signs of a water leak I would think it is quite minor. If you had a large amount of rain and a few drops leaked inside I would think that is quite minor too. I would investigate more and maybe use it as bargaining leverage. I'm a sucker for old rv's.
