New Members With Power Problems

Just purchased a 2012 Tiffny Phaeton 40' QBH. My wife [ Karen V. ] and I are leaving for Alaska around the 15th of July.
Already had to change serptine belt, now was running air off generator ,shut down the generator, next day no power anywhere.
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, P&k

Can you give more context to what you mean by "now was running air off generator?"

Also, when you say "next day no power anywhere" are you saying the generator is running, but there is no voltage available anywhere inside the coach?

As stated above, youu really need to be specific and provide more details. If the gennie runs but no 120v power to the coach, check CB on the gennie.

Onan gensets have a low-oil detection system, when oil level is low it will not start again until oil level is full. I'd sure change the generator motor oil N filter + fuel filter just as soon as it started unless the previous owner has records to prove it has been serviced lately.



Take along spare drive engine fuel filters going to AK., parts for a DP are kinda hard to find, and everything in AK must be flown-in from Seattle if you have an emergency/breakdown.
