New to RVing - Need help

Hi everyone ; I,ve always had a fifth wheel camper and now own a 2002 safari 455 cat zanzabar . It may be my last if I can,t get it to drive better than it does. I was looking for someone who tell me where I can get air ride to put on this as it has bf Goodrich velvet ride[rides like a lumber wagon] and wanders all over . Any help would be nice. Thanks

I can't help with your RV's ride but I have moved the post to improve traffic.

Best luck, and feel free to go back to the "New Member" Forum to introduce yourself.

I would suggest several things. First of all check your steering box and make sure that it adjusted correctly and that the ubolt is not worn

Next get your cfoach weighed on all 4 corners, fully loaded, adjust your tire pressure accordingly

Next check your shocks. If you have original, probable Monroe's, and are experiencing porpoising get you some Big!stiens or Konis on there

Go over to the Monaco forum. I know its a Beaver product but you find additional help there

Go over to the rv.net forum, the Class A motorhome discussions, and search for "velvet ride" and you will get 13 threadswith some info about velvet ride and possible sources for aftermarket parts. The original manufacturer is out of business for the velvet ride suspension.

Hi Phil,
Welcome to IRV2.
With the age of your coach, I would suspect you have some worn parts. My first approach would be to take it to a good suspension shop to check it out and do an alignment.
