Newbie question

We have yet to go on our first trip in our new (to us) MH, and I'm curious what I need to have with us. I have the basics, like tank drain hose, fresh water hose, but I'm at a loss after that. Do I need pads or blocks for the leveling system? What small things did you find you needed, and didn't have? I don't want to get to our first RV park and find out that I really needed X and didn't have it. Thanks all in advance.

Go to a Camping World and set up in the parking lot.

Anything you need will likely be in the store!

Happy Glamping.

Roadside towing/service insurance policy. We use Coach-net.

You do not describe your rig in your signature so cannot help much more than the above.

Highly recommend going to the closest RV park for a test run to learn what your needs are.

Always carry a credit card with a high limit.......

Have fun.

Do a dry run in your driveway. Assume the water hose and power outlet are within 30' and the sewer within 25' Do everything you would do when setting up camp and spend the weekend finding out what you need and don't have. Don't go in the house. By the end of the weekend you will have a good idea what you are missing.

A couple of the previously mentioned items you won't need at your home but may be required by the campground are a sewer donut and pads/blocks for under your leveling jacks.

Since you have a toad anything you miss can be acquired when you get there.

That’s a great idea. Not sure we could do that tho, not enough space in our driveway. I’m sure we could try something like that.

I too suggest a dry run, find a campground within a few miles of a 24 hour Wal-Mart, etc. and plan on making multiple trips to get things you forgot. I have owned my current coach for almost 4 years, and have spent somewhere around 200 nights in it, and I am still finding "essential" items I need to add, most recently it was a fly swatter.

p.s. 90%+ of the things you may need can be found in Wal-Mart, they usually have one aisle of RV supplies near the automotive department, also a number of the things you find you will need is not RV specific, ie can openers, bath mats, etc.

OK, head to your local Pro Bass store.

504 N Prince St, Clovis, NM 88101

They have lots of camping supplies as well as usually allow overnight stays.

Happy Glamping.
