Newmar DP vs Dynamax Dynaquest

Hi,

Looking for a replacement for our 2008 Itasca Latitude gas pusher.

Has anyone experience or researched Newmar DP's and Dynamax Dynaquests?

I have done a lot of research on both but would like to hear from folk on here.

Thanks,

We have a 390XL Dynaquest and couldn't be happier. Had a DP prior and didn't like the driving position or the front end crash safety (or lack thereof).

Plenty of power, Quality build. Of course, all RV's require maintenance. No issues with the Freightliner and Dynamax manufactured items, only with 3rd party devices. (Xantrex Inverter, Girard awning, Lippert steps)

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything new in this current environment. Quality is down and prices are up. WE got our 2013 Dynaquest from the original owner in 2019 and he was meticulous about maintenance.

Glad to answer any questions you may have.

A friend has the Dynaquest and they like it overall. He likes the live tandem and 20,000# tow rating. However, he misses the open drivers area, the wider open windshield/view and the tighter turning radius of a DP.

I had a 2020 Dynamax Isata 5. Overall it was ok but there are numerous issues with Dynamax. One of the reasons I had purchased it was because the man in charge is always on the FR forum. But the longer I was on that forum, there was always excuses why they had the same issue month after month and there were no improvements. I suggest you check out Dynamax thoroughly. Also go on the Newmar owners page here

Thanks all,

My apologies for not replying earlier.

I really like the look of the Dynaquest XL.

That's interesting that Crasher mentions turning circle. My driveway entrance is at 90 deg angle on a bend and to top it off the drive is on hill, so a bit tight. I am able to get my 37.5 ft pusher in and out no issue but it's tight. Realistically I would like something in the sub 34ft.

I would certainly do a drive thru in your driveway before purchase. I doubt that a 34' Super C would turn as tight as your 37' DP. Also, what is the useful living area of a 34'? Probably not much more than 26'. Quite a change from a 37' DP.

I will make sure to do a drive thru first.

That's the problem with the super C's with no overhead by bed, you loose a lot of space

Decisions, decisions.
