Norcold has a retrofit air restrictor that a dealer (not owner) may install (according to them) to resolve this. I found a picture and made one even though we were still under warranty since driving to and from the nearest dealer is a $100+ proposition and I had the SS and own a shear and roller.

Norcold did tell me that as annoying as it is, it's not hazardous.

I believe it was the DOMETIC SERVICE MANUAL that stated never ream/drill the brass gas jet, but instead soak in alcohol to clean? I am picturing a problem with the new Jet/ jet size? Interesting that those pressure changes had so little effect on problem. I have purchased new LP camping devices that were defective out of box.

There is another option however many RV techs and resellers do not seem to know about it. JC Refrigeration, the maufacturer of the "Amish" cooling units builds both a new cooling unit for Norcolds and a new cooling unit "with parts package" for an additional $235:

The additional package includes 2 heating elements, 2-5X5 vent fans, LP Burner and a Fin Fan.

So you get the same cooling unit but with a new LP burner that is already installed and tested as well as all of the parts that they recommend be changed for fridges over 10 years old.

For the 1200: https://jc-refrigeration.com/product...s-package-new/
