Oasis not heating
This is just a heads up on an issue I’ve had for a few days that a ITR tech finally helped with. I’ve been searching the forum all morning and thought it was a bad pump, sensor on the water pipe, all sorts of ideas i got from the forums. Nothing really made sense. Totally frustrated.
I have had issue with the Oasis not heating the domestic hot water and or the Furnace for a few days. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, sometimes the ACH green light was on, sometimes it wasn’t. Tried all sorts of things, resetting, total electrical coach reboot, nothing worked.
Talked to the tech Kevin, great guy, He asked me a few questions, then said to hold-in the BYPASS and RESET buttons at the same time, then release the RESET first then the BYPASS. The Diesel Burner kicked in right away which it hasn’t been doing for 2 days. He said “yep, its your hot water tank Cycling Aquastat sensor”. So we turned off the power to the Oasis.
He then had me remove the cover where the hour meter is on top of the Oasis, looked at the furthest right sensor on the tank, remove the 2 green wires on the sensor and then he said to jump the wires with a 10 amp fuse.
The burner kicked in when I turned the power back on the Oasis. Problem solved temporally. He ordered up a new sensor $52.00 and its on its way.
He just said not to leave the jump connected all the time as the tank wont know when to shut down so the temp would be way too hot. No problem, I’ll just connect the fuse when we want to shower and unplug it when we are done. A pretty easy fix once I have the part. Id say 15 minutes just because its a little tight under the coach and the Oasis.
Ive attached a pic of the sensor and wires. Bad pic but thats life.
