So, between Safelite and Duncan it can be done. Interesting that everything was impossible when I called. Maybe I have the wrong insurance company or maybe it was because I was in Canada.
Either way, it was poorly handled by all involved. Glad to have learned about Duncan Glass. That's where we go the next time.

Have been trying to get a windshield replaced on our rig, was first told I would need to drive 2-5 hrs away on a weekday to get it handled, I said that is not an option. 1 month in now we hve found a mobile place in st louis where we will be camping in mid August to come take care of it at the camp site. Seems there is a big shortage of people even willing to replace a windshield. In the meantime I’m riding around with a failed inspection sticker 🙄

My last windshield I went through RV Glass Solutions a Nationwide network, they told me they had 220 replacements for my coach in stock. The whole process took less than 3 days at a shop in Jackson, TN.
