These QD3200 use a small single cylinder Hatz Diesel engine. They run at a higher RPM and do make more noise than some would expect out of a supposed quiet diesel. Run the thing and make sure you can live with the noise. Another quirky thing is that they do do like to be run under light load for any period of time. Doing so will cause the fuel injector pintle to stick causing all kinds of running issues. Another great feature is that there is no way to plug in a laptop to diagnose any issues that may arise. All the trouble shooting has to be done with the control panel. If it shuts down take a picture of anything it shows on the screen because as soon as you turn it off the FaultCodes are cleared and a technician doesn’t have any where to start.
