Smile ONAN 4000 any idea what I could do to try to resolve the sputtering generator?

I have a 2019 leprechaun ds-260 with an Onan 4000 generator in it. the generator has set for about a month without starting. Now when I start it it will run fine for about 40 seconds and then stutter and sputter but it will not quit. I have let it run for several hours now and it still does this any idea what I could do to try to resolve the sputtering generator?

Look on carb and see if there is a hand adjustment.. maybe black knob says altitude adjustment.. if it has a carb.. try turnig that.. colder air is thicker.. or many new ones are fuel injection.. maybe change fuel filter..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members.. forget my post if lp.. is it lp?

Dump a bunch of seafood in the gas tank.

Read the can for a good mix.

On a more serious note .

Checkout the YouTube videos on the Onan 4000 poor running issues.

On the carburetor gas Genny's it's usually a dirty carburetor.

The videos will show you how to clean it .

If it's fuel injected or propane , it's a little more involved .

As Twinboat suggested , a can of Seafoam can't hurt and might clean the carb.

Check/ remove air filter and make sure no wasp/rodent nests? While filter off, start and see if problems continues? LOOK IN CARB THROAT AND See if CHOKE opens fully? Reinstall or replace air filter, if/as required?
