Opinons please..
Just curious to know does your wife ride in the back of to coach while traveling. DW and I have heated debates on whether she should ride up front in the cab or if she should hang out in the rear bedroom while the coach is operating. What are your thoughts? Thanks

It all depends on what kind of mood she's in. Good mood she can ride in the front. Bad mood in the back and very bad mood in the toad😀

Heated debates aside......
I believe it is now law in all of the states as per the slogan “Click it or ticket”
When vehicles are in motion on the roadway, every occupant must wear the factory provided seatbelt assembly.
There’s your answer as far as I can tell.

My DW rarely rides up front, she spends most of her time lying on the sofa watching movies. Occasionally I'll need a lookout for an exit or landmark and she will sit up front to assist but she isn't a good navigator and prefers to relax on the sofa.
We understand that riding in the back is not as safe as sitting up front in a seat belt but this is exactly why we bought a motorhome and not a trailer, we enjoy the travel experience the coach offers.

I would not like the engine noise coming from our 375 ISL while riding in the bedroom area. In our 2003 gasser, my wife often slept in during early morning take offs. No way now with the diesel. The view out the big window, keeps my wife plenty entertained, while traveling.

If we're on the road for six hours, my wife is in the bedroom for about 5.5 hr.

Mine has seat belts in the dinette and sofa, so the righthand seat is occasionally unoccupied. I don't believe we would do that without seat belts which includes the bedroom. Wife prefers the view in the front seat, plus there's my sparkling company.

The DW and I do all the driving together, both seated and buckled up. If I'm driving she is the navigator. If she is driving I am the navigator. During the slow times one or the other can surf the net on our smart phones.
We assist each other in finding the next stop or overnight stay. If one of us missed a lower speed limit sign, the other will point it out. If one of us needs to stop for what ever, we stop.

What I can't figure out is, why the "heated" debates? I mean, there's two seats up front, one for the driver, one for the passenger (wife, girl friend, husband, boy friend, kid(s) etc.). Wow, never even thought about the wife riding anywhere but up front with me, neither has she.

It becomes heated because I believe it safer for her to ride upfront with me. She rather lie down and watch movies in the back on long cross country trips. She believes there are no safety issues.
