Paint issues

I have a issue with the paint on the nose of our coach pealing. Its a 2006 Monaco that we purchased 7 years back and at the time the nose had been repainted. After a few years the paint started to bubble and crack in places.
My wife and I are retired full timers with a limited income, so since our bra was long gone we decided to paint a simulated bra on the nose. we had seen this before and it didnt look to bad. To give it a texture I used bed liner on the nose and it really looked nice. for about a year and now its pealing off in several places.
Has anyone ever tried what I did or am I the only nut in the box. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks ahead of time

I say that bed liner will be a pain to totally remove.

I thought about same thing or plasti-dip. Its only really as stuck on as what's under. You have on there now, do your best to touch it up. I would make sure it has been dry for several days, not to trap any moisture that may wicked underneath.

Did you remove the second coat of paint before putting the bed liner on? If not it could be that paint continuing to fail.

Did you do a really good job of cleaning the paint before spraying the bed liner?

I'd wonder about the solvent in the bed liner and compatibility with the paint under it, especially if the paint was already failing.

You don't really say what you want to do. The bedliner is coming off because the paint wasn't prepped well enough. Another issue, the bedliner material looks nice initially, but eventually fades and doesn't look so great.

You have a few choices.....my brother-in-law needed to pretty much repaint his entire coach but didn't want to spend the money. He found a local auto body shop employee that came out on his spare time, prepped the paint and then painted it.

Another solution is to buy a black vinyl bra. Our friends have one on their Camelot. If you stay on top of it and keep it coated with some type of vinyl protectant or 303, it should last quite a while.

Lastly, you could have a company that does vinyl wraps on cars, wrap the front end. However, the paint will need to be repaired and smooth, even if it's just primer.
