Parker-Racor fuel/water separator

We need help too
Does anybody know how to hot wire the Parker-Racor 90S1230C fuel/water separator integrated assembly. Our units control and/or pump is tango uniform.

We have a new to us 99 Exec. w/M11. It has a Parker-Racor 90S1230C fuel/water separator integrated assembly w/RK12963 retrofit kit. It does NOT purge or prime anymore. I changed the filters, S3230P & 300200, then went to purge it of air with its integrated pump, but the pump doesn't pump. I don't know how long it has been broke. The power lite comes on w/the ignition key, then when I push the air purge button, the amber lite comes on, but nothing happens. After about 20 seconds, the amber lite goes out. When I push the H2O purge button, no lite, no pump action, nothing? My local Parker-Racor dealer advised me that the purge pump and control panel are obsolete and no longer available. He suggested I purchase either a Parker-Racor 790R with electric prime pump for $350, or the 460R w/manual prime pump for $200. Neither one of these units uses the S3230P filter, which I have 2 of. Parker-Racor complete mobile fuel filter product line can be found at http://www.launchrun.com/RacorCustomers/Cat7480H_SectionA(Mob_Fuel_Filt).pdf
What I would like to do, but don't know how to do it, is remove the control panel, and install my own switch to turn the prime/purge function on and off, that's assuming the pump is operable. One of the control panel pig tails has 2 wires, and the other has 6. Can anybody be of help, please, before I spend a bunch of money, again.
Thanks
Don, Lisa, and Alexa

lonestarace...I wonder if this might be better in the Engine area? You might get some of the gearheads to answer...
What do you think?

Parker-Racor fuel/water separator

Here is what I decided to do for our 99 Exec. For $70, I purchased a new simpler filter mounting head, Racor pt# RK30287, that accepts the S3230P spin-on filter and its H2O bowl w/sensor. I put a drain petcock on the bottom. There isn't a pump on it of any kind. When I put on a new filter, I fill it with diesel, and spin it on. Its that simple and fool proof.

Here are some other solutions for when your 90S1230C water/separator goes tango uniform.

$350-The 700 seriesfuel filter/water separator assembly is a two-stage filtration and repriming system featuring a 12 volt solid-state controlled electronic priming pump.
The 700 series features a vent valve to purge air, a 100 micron prefilter screen, a 2, 10, or 30 micron Aquabloc®II spin-on replacement elements.

All 700 series come with a water sensor probe, a clear collection bowl and a weather proof control box for the integral primer pump. This complete fuel management system isolates contaminants present in diesel fuels and traps them prior to reaching the fuel injection system, protecting the engine’s fuel system from costly and premature failure.

The 700 series filters are ideal for diesel and biodiesel applications. The priming pump features a high flow internal bypass when the filter is in service. Not recommended for PPO (WVO, SVO) service.
All series filter head/primer pumps are the same. There are 3 different options for filter size based on intended application.

$250-Racor’s 400R series filtration option for PPO (SVO, WVO), diesel, and biodiesel is a convenient combination of Racor Filtration Technology and simplified servicing with a Hand (Palm) Primer Pump. The filter is a combination filter, water separator, and optional fuel heater, in addition to the integrated manual priming capabilities. Each spin-on replacement filter features proprietary, high-capacity, water repelling Aquabloc®II media.
The integrated manual primer pump features a unique pump bypass which yields extremely low flow resistance during vehicle operation. Also featured is a 4-port die-cast aluminum head (two inlets, two outlets) complete with a unitized mounting bracket for installation convenience. This Filter offers an optional 12 or 24 VDC 200 watt in-bowl heater and water sensor probe which provides added fuel filtration security for your vehicle.
