Passing along a nice experience

I may be out of line in doing this here, but....

I would like to send a thumbs out for Fantastic Vents. The bracket structure (I found out it is called the bow tie) on our Fan-Tastic-Fan broke, so I called the company in Michigan, armed with the model number, serial number, finger prints, date of birth, the whole ball of wax! Chris, the chap I spoke with was great. He said the part would be shipped out right away and all I would owe is the cost of shipping! That was pleasant surprise number one.

Our Newmar class A is 7 years old & we are the second owners. The topic never came up!

He left the line to find out the shipping cost to our place here in Canada. When he returned he said they no longer ship just the bow tie, as they found people were having trouble getting older units apart, usually needing to order more new parts as a result (I know of some businesses that would think that was just A-OK!!). Chris said that they would be sending me a new motor, bow tie & fan unit and the cost would still only be for the shipping! That was pleasant surprise number two!

The package arrived at our door in 3 1/2 working days. Pleasant surprise number three! Although UPS had a part in that one.

We are quite often ready to talk down a business that we aren't satisfied with, for one reason or another. I just wanted to pass along the name of a company that was pleasant, friendly and most helpful to deal with. Not to mention, stands behind their products.

I hope I wasn't wrong in using this forum & space to do this.

Take care,
Ron

I'd say you're good. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed my Fan-Tastic vent in my last motorhome.

Two ups for your post and the company. We as a group/ organization need to do more of this. We of course need to share what's not working, but by posting "what is working" people will go/purchase there first. As a result those that produce a consistantly inferior product/ service will no longer be in bussiness because we'll be shopping at the good guys.

They're a great company and are usually over the top in trying to help you out. Sharing stories like this are great and I have to agree with IMDSailor in doing more of this in the future.
