Code 11 is overcurrent (too much current draw for the generator to provide), so it shuts down.
  • Flip the generator breaker (on the generator) to OFF, then start it up again.
  • If it runs for a minutes or so (does not stop) then you are attempting to pull too much power from the generator.
  • If it still stops, there is either a short somewhere (hopefully not inside the generator) or you have too many things turned on (A/C units, water heater electric element, etc.).

Code 15 is underfrequency. Perform the same steps as above, as the cause may be the same.

From the limited description it sounds to me like there may be an issue internal to the generator (but that is just a guess).

Here is a link to what is close enough to the manual for your initial diagnostic purposes (fault codes start on page 71):

One basic test would be to turn off main (50A) breaker inside the coach and then fire up the generator with the gen breaker on. In theory, that limits the power to the generator itself, the ATS and the wiring to the load center. If it still throws an error code, you have narrowed down the scope to either generator or some small amount of wiring.

Disconnecting the 12v at the rear of the gen will reset the board. Leave them off for 20 minutes.

BTW, YOU DID NOTHING WRONG, it broke and you were the victim of the breakdown. It should work without issue while still plugged in.

LOW OIL will cause immediate shutdown, as will CLOGGED OIL FILTER. CHECK OIL LEVEL?

Also check your fuel level.

The generator will not run below a quarter tank of fuel in the coach.

Lol stop breaking stuff!

A bad coolant or oil level sensor will shut it down also. You’re sure both are full?

I know this is a diesel but I had a gas 5500 that would start and run until you let go of the start button. It was the control board that was bad.

The repair diognostic manual has troubleshooting flow charts and fairly easy to understand tests. Flightsystems Inc. Is a generator support site, that has similar tests. They sell and repairs boards and have specific tests to help keep you from sending them good boards for repairs.
