Power Extension Connection Protection

Thought I might share this for whatever it's worth.
I have to use a power cord extension when I park the coach at home. I don't like leaving the connection out in the weather. So I made this using a 2.5 gal bucket. Just use a reciprocating saw and cut some "J"s in the opposite sides and it's done.

I take a large garbage bag and wrap the same bag around the connectors several times, then use two small bungee cords at both ends. Simple cheap and effective.

Nice solution .In a brainstorming post someone came up with plastic ammo can. I would add a rain cap with drip edge to ammo can.. A 3M sticky hook small bungee or cord wrap like bead bungee could keep plugs higher and water running down the cords outside.

Brilliant. A simple, cheap and elegant solution.

Bonus points if you decorate the bucket.

Agreed.
I also wrap my electrical connections for protection but in a different way. I like this idea too though. The only thing I don't like about it is having to carry another bucket taking up more space in my bays. Being a FTer, space is at a premium. But very cool.

Roll the extra cords up in the bucket when stored.
You can store spare water hoses too.
