Power gear hydrauic leveling jacks

I have a1998 Discovery with power gear leveling jacks. The rear jacks work fine. Front jacks are extended but will not retract. Fluid level is good. All solenoids have continuity. When front button is pushed the pump motor runs but front jacks dont move.

Have the jack cylinders been lubed? You may or may not have grease zerks on the bottom of the jack cylinders. If you have them, put a little grease in them. If you have or don't have zerks, spray some liquid Silicone (not WD-40) on the pistons (Shiny part), then, after telling the jacks to retract, try prying them up a bit. If they are just dry, they will start moving because the springs are what retracts the jacks. You may have to help them retract until you get the Silicone up into the jack cylinders.

Have solved problem with power gear jacks not retracting. Turned out to an electrical problem. Thanks for all suggestions.

It turned out to be lack of electrcal power to the solenoid for the front jacks. I have not found the cause yet. Still tracing the circuit.
