Power gear Jack reservoir Leaking

The alarm for Powergear jacks in my 05 Bounder would go off periodically. So I decided to unplug the sensor pin. This took care of the alarm. But now fluid is leaking from the float switch. I can’t seem to get it tight. I know I need to order a new float switch. But want get this one positioned correctly to stop the leak.

I'm not sure if the switch sensor has an o-ring on it... I believe its mounted from the inside of the tank.

Before replacing the sensor, are you sure the tank itself isn’t leaking? Power gear liked to hang the tank cantilevered off the pump. As you drive down the road, the tank bounces up and down and a fatigue crack will form, resulting in a slow leak. I removed mine and had the local vo-tech school weld it up and make a bracket to support the tank.
