Power Gear multi motor slide, motors out of sync

We have a 2010 Winnebago View 24K and the front motor on the slide out is out of sync with the rear motor on the same slide out. I know some units use as many as 4 motors on a slide out. Is this a common problem with Power Gear slide outs?

It can be a problem from usually low voltage issues and trying to run the system. If you only have two motors you can re-sync and set them. Do you have your owners manuals? If you have the three or four motor system a teach pendant is needed to reset the timing and stops of the system. This would require you to take it to a repair facility that has this equipment. We don't see a lot of problems with Power Gear if it is operated properly with the engine running and good batteries in the coach.

Hey Mike,
What does one do if it's a Monaco? There must be a relay/switch that "locks out" the slide motors if the engine is running - so has anyone disabled this feature?

Make sure you are plugged into shore power or have the generator running to try to have good voltage available. Make sure your battery bank is in good order. If you have a bad battery bank most things can still operate off the inverter/charger or converter/charger. Motors needs more amperage and the controller senses this. With low voltage the amperage is increased and thus stressing the controller and even the motor eventually.
