We have a 2000 MH with a Power Gear slide mechanism, Part No. 521065. Three teeth have broken off the large gear. Contacted Power Gear and they said the part is obsolete and no longer available and the replacement part is also obsolete. I have also checked with our MH manufacturer with no luck. Anyone familiar with an RV wrecking yard where they might have later model RV parts? I've tried a number of Rv salvage yards from a list I picked up from a website and seems they have nothing but '90 and older RVs. Hey, we must be driving safer if they don't have any newer RVs out there!
Has anyone had a similar problem with a Power Gear gear box, and what was your solution?
Thanks for your help.

Have no idea who might have your gear. But if you can get off gear assembly maybe a good welding shop could come up with something better than you had originally.

Hi Ragman.
Try www.RVDOCTORGEORGE.com. They are in Sacramento but I'm sure they will ship it to you if they have it. Good luck.

Good luck in finding the exact gear you need. If for some reason you cannot find one, your other options will be to change the entire gear box out, make a gear, call dealers that have sold the same unit to see if they have one laying on a shelf. Hope you find one soon.

Belgian, Thanks for the positive information. That's exactly what I was looking for, or feedback from someone who had a problem with this gear.
I have emailed the doctor to see what he has on hand. He has a very good Website.
Thanks again.
