I think everyone does what you do to some extent, but not every meal. I certainly don't want a microwaved hamburger. When we had our propane refer, we did try to shrink meals. We would package just the amount of hamburger patties we needed for a meal in a freezer bag, same with chicken. About the only meat we would precook, which I see many do the same, is taco or burrito meat, be it chicken, turkey or ground beef.

On our first travel day, we always have something in the refer like a large salad with all the fixings from Costco or some other place that makes a large salad that will last overnight. When we arrive, we set up camp and dinner is ready to go.

We are far from being good cooks and rarely do any meals that require a lot of prep (wish we did), but it's just not us. With that said, we don't mind spending 20-30 minutes prepping a meal.......90 seconds just can't be good or healthy.

Ohhh to be that organized.

We never eat out thats part of why we have a motorhome. I was a cook for years and most restaurants are disappointing. The more expensive the more disappointing.
I do hit Cracker Barrel on occasion , can't beat the price and the quality seems consistent from state to state. Haven't eaten at one since getting the MH though.

We had grilled lobster and salmon on our last camping trip. I pre freeze meat into vac bags and take out what we feel like eating in the morning. Takes maybe 8 minutes to cook. I avoid bone in chicken for quickie meals. Zucchini is a great camping veggie, just throw it on the grill.

The breakfast burritos is something we do use but the premade frozen ones cause again...organization.

Plus both of us work 10 hour days prior to heading out. No way I have the time to pre cook anything. barely get dinner as it is. lol

This trip since its going to be colder Im doing my famous bean ham hock soup in the dutch oven on charcoal...if I can keep the fire lit. Might rain too.

On the go meals

We use the air fryer to precook some food and always have soup and salads ready to travel. We recently discover some precooked meats that are vacuumed pack. We tried the pork chops and brisket which were not too bad for a quick meal. We use the crock pot trick packed in the sink too. Kind of depends on what and where we are going. Our west coast trips are driving days to get to sons home then leisure returns.
