Pricing a used RV

Hi, We are looking to upgrade to a Class A Diesel pusher and we want to find a price for the coach kinda like a KBB value but for coaches. Does any body know a site that is honest and not a scam or ad?

There's supposed to a way to see sold for prices on PPL website. Members have mentioned and linked before.

Use as much information as you can, but take it with a grain of salt. Prices have been all over the place, so what something sold for a few months ago isn't necessarily what it's worth tomorrow. Sellers, private or dealers, won't necessarily care what the real value of their sale is. Be informed, and don't be afraid to walk away. There's always another rig out there.

Used listed prices haven’t moved much in the past 6 month, but I think they will during the winter and next spring. But the decreases will not be what they were in the pre Covid era.
10-15% a yr.
Trade in prices will be lower 20-30 % a yr.
So wholesale to retail will have a fairly large spread.

Not sure why people are obsessed with what someone else thinks the value is. The important thing is what the coach is worth to you and how much you are willing to spend. Sellers may ask a price, but buyers determine the price.

NADA may be accurate for some coaches. For us, it reflects about 1/3 of our current value.

A lot will depend on your area. We just sold our 2013 Tiffin. I had listed it close to NADA's average price for a month with only a few inquires with a ridiculous offer. When I lowered it by $10,000, I had several interested parties and the first buyer paid my asking price which was midway between my dealers high retail value and his wholesale number. NADA has a history of being overly optimistic for used values. Determine your budget with a 20-25% reserve for the unexpected and pick the floor plan that fits your needs. There's something out there just waiting for you.

Edit: I have noticed over the years that NADA tends to under value vehicles more than 20 years old. After 15 years, the condition and service history can have a big impact on a motorhomes value.

So I have one on my radar, I have this one but the wife, not so much... 2006 Newmar Ventana, 6000 original miles, excellent condition $105,000.00 (which I would not pay, I am blue collar and would have to finance and NADA is $70,000ish), worried about sitting with no use and all rubber, e.g. hoses, belts, seals and brake and fuel lines. The cavoite to 'I' is it has a single bath, our 14 Itasca Sunstar 35F has 1.5 which my wife does not want to give up.
The other coach is a 2016 Berkshire 38A has all the amenities we like and 1.5 baths, $148,000 but again, We would negotiate. The down fall with this is the dreaded 'Pleather pealing issue', which has started on a small spot on the dinette cushion. I have read were it is not if but when it all fails. I do not want to spend that much on a coach to have it re-upholstered. Our 14 Sunstar, gasser, has awesome pleather, with 3 dogs, one is 100# we have no issues.
Thoughts greatly appreciated.
Tim, Sherri, Sage, Capone and Barkley, out pups.

Good luck getting a 2006 financed, many won't touch an RV that age.

Some Credit Unions might. I know ours says "10 years old or newer" but in working with them I found out if you're already a customer and you have great credit, they'll go older. Of course, you'll pay more interest.

A HELOC (Home Equity Line Of Credit) could be an alternative if used carefully and paid responsibly. Some think this is OK, some wouldn't touch one with a 10 ft. pole.
