Problem with Atwood Levelegs
When I try to extend the jacks on auto mode I get an error code on the right rear jack. I’ve tried the clear codes that are in the book with no success . Any help would be greatly appreciated,

If you can hear that jack motor running, the pin has been sheered.
Having replaced my level legs two years ago with HWH, I wish I had done it when the first power module failed about 12 years ago. After that 3 more power modules and two jacks. I think the HWH was about $7,200. Each power module was $525 and one jack was $700 +. The other jack required replacement gears and labor to rebuild, another $500. All the repairs would have paid about 1/3 of the cost for HWH.

If the pin is sheared the leg would drop down, sounds like you need to remove the leg and clean it up, including the brake. You can unplug the leg's electrical connection and run 12v to it while underneath coach. If leg won't move change the two electrical wires, one direction is up the other is down. I have removed my legs many times mostly because the electronic brake froze. I clean everything up and spray sealant outside the motor. Water gets inside the rubber boot and rusts the electrical stuff up.
Good luck

I had a gear break on one of ours and found a replacement at Lippert(I think Lippert bought the Atwood leg leveler part of the business). Replacement of the leg was fairly easy, a couple of bolts and 1 electrical connector.

Mine didn’t drop when the pin sheared and broke teeth off gears.

I hope I'm remembering this right: you can extend the leg with a drill on the end of the motor shaft. it takes a large number of turns to move it. if it moves, your gears are ok. extend a couple inches, then un plug the wire from that jack. start the control panel and hit extend; that should put it in error mode. turn it off, plug back in, and try to retract all. That worked for me.

Rubytues is correct, you must release the electric brake first. When I attempted this I destroyed the rubber boot (put a hole in it). I found it much easer to remove the whole leg and work on it on a table.

Thanks for the help and replies, I have found that the control module is out. Ran jumper wires and the jack worked fine. As most of you may know the control modules aren’t made anymore so I called Newmar and they suggested I replace the whole system for $8000 just in parts . Currently checking salvage yards and a few places that repair the control modules, will report back what I find, not real happy with Newmars response !

After replacing the main power control module 4 times at $525, one leg rebuilt and one gear replaced, I gave up and had HWH jacks installed about $7,200.00. Should have done it at first failure.

A lot of times those components can be rebuilt. Check with https://www.mmrvelectronics.com/prod...e/73-00635-000
