In addition the one in Geneva is close to the Thruway and Rt 96 both of which get a lot of traffic from cross state vehicles and is a gateway into NY wine country.

Understood, but this is a big country...we could have 500 posts on here listing great places to get propane, and not a single one would be relevant to me and my location. I suppose for long haulers and full timers it might be slightly more relevent, but... Just sayin'

on the other side of the story, almost all of vendors in sf bay area are selling it well above $4 per gallon.

Nothing wrong with 500 posts. ;-)
Point is that would be 500 good places to go that we are not currently aware of. That would significantly reduce the number or folks just guessing.

mr d, i just looked at my record, it's within the city of port angeles but very far away from the city towards east (13 miles west of downtown sequim) on 101. texaco gas station at 3010 E Hwy 101, Port Angeles. $1.35/gl. (somehow my brain didn't click when i posted the first time). worth checking it out.

I agree.
I've had RVs for over 40 years, (400,000+ miles), some with 20 or 30 lb. DOT cylinders and some with permanently mounted ASME tanks.
Wherever I've traveled I have never had a problem finding a propane seller capable of filling a propane tank when I needed propane.

And just how would one go about narrowing down those 500+ to ones in their specific area of need? Scroll through 500+ posts?

In Southern California, I've never purchased propane for my on-board MH tanks anywhere OTHER than a gas station.
