Are you opening the valve fully, backseating it.

They seal all the way open and all the way closed

Yeah it still bubbles a bit when "cranked" open...

I left it open for a few weekes, oops tank went empty..

put half tank to test,, it shuts off, no leaks,.. fully open still leaks..

I had an electric remote shut off valve on ours that went bad and started leaking. I was able to turn off the gas at the manual valve on the tank and change out the the electric one that I got from Amazon. Was really nothing to it other than fighting off the dog and cat laying on my back under the coach!

Tank has to be empty to replace the service valve .

Depending on local rules this may require a special shop as parts might not be available for a DIY.

Service valve packing can be tightened . Spray a little WD-40 . Remove handle tighten a little at a time with 6 point deep socket, run the stem in and out every 1/8 turn. I think packing gland is left hand threads. Don't try to get stupid tight. Use up propane and get it changed out the back seal should be in working order.

I got side tracked on another job. I just grabbed the number off the valve and I am going to check if I can get a cartridge, If not I can grab a new valve and I will get a regulator if I am going to have it all apart.. URGH..

My propane guy said if I leave it at terminal/shop for the day, they would do it an fill... This may be an option...

Yeah may be a good idea as they could reclaim any remaining propane.
As long as they are reasonable
