Question about changing bathroom sink faucets

I can't even see the connections on my class c bathroom sink faucets, much less work on them. I hope that I can back there to disconnect or cut the tubing.

It seems to me that it would be easier to take out the sink and to replace the faucets using long, flexible service lines.

Has anyone done that?

There is a tool, a faucet wrench, that can be bought at lowes, has a long handle and a c-shaped claw at the end. It is very handy using also a vanity/type hand held mirror to remove not only the pipe fitting but also the nuts that hold the faucet on. Do yourself a favor, buy a good one, the cheap ones are frustrating, knuckle busters.
Edit,
To answer your question, if you remove the sink, you can cut the pex lines at a low point that can be reached and crimp threaded couplers at that point. Removing the sink, sometimes is not much easier,as getting to the clips is sometimes not a picnic either.

I need to write this up.

But i replaced all the faucets in our motorhome.

I removed the old one they are basically a cheap version of home ones.

The i cut all the pex lines put normal sink shutoffs and used normal faucets and hoses.

The old ones used push on pex connections with rubber gaskets no shutoffs.

I like this setup in case of issue with one i can turn off and fix when i have time but have water everywhere else.

You should be able to reach them but it is a blind job.

Both in mine had threaded ends. Unscrewed the feed line and spun off the hold down for the fixture. Had to do by feel, but not difficult.

I have those. Good for hex head stuff. Hard to grab faucet hold downs.

You may be able to reach up in there and unscrew the plastic wing nuts that hold the faucets, if they are not too tight!

That is possible but two inches below that is the nut for the water line that must be removed so that winged nut can come off to remove faucet and that ain't gonna come off using your fingers.

Mike that can be true and not true. Just depends on the fittings. The one in mine was pretty easy to remove because it had wings on it. But like i said once off i cut them put in value and normal hoses actually think the kitchen it had the lines on it to standard valves.

What he said but with valves, don’t over think it,, it is a blind job, do it by feel. Probably worth the price of a cordless Dremel to just cut the mount off.

Great Post, Thanks.

When replacing faucets I too avoid the expensive cheap ones from rv stores and go for the quality ones from a plumbing store. The water does not seem to mind.....
