Replacing couch

We are In the process of making our 96 Bounder 36 ft more comfortable . The couch is awful, we are considering replacing with recliners . Can anyone who has done this share what you've used for furnishings , pics & brand names would be great .

We replaced our uncomfortable couch with 2, wall hugging, swivel recliners. We had only approximately 72" of space to install 2 each so the big S&B recliners were out. I forget the brand name but see that Bradd&Hall sell them. Quality is excellent and comfort (compared to the overstuffed S&B recliners ) is a 9 out of 10. I can fall asleep very easily in these recliners. The swivel is wonderful if your TV is over the front dash. Needed about 6" in between and on each end to swivel and recline. Was able to install with only several inches to the wall of the coach.

One of the best upgrades we've done.

We removed the sleeper sofa from our unit last winter and installed a reclining loveseat by Lazy-boy. I tooks some angle from an old bed frame and cut it to fit the sleeper mounting holes and then lag bolted 2x4's to the angles lengthwise under the love seat. I took the little feet off the bottom and lag bolted the love seat to the 2x4's. Positioning the loveseat so when reclined there is about an inch from it to the wall plus we gained some storage space right behind it. Then I moved the TV from the front center position in the coach to the cabinet across from the loveseat. Worked out great for us.

Here you can see the loveseat and new table I made to replace the dinette.

In this pic you see where I moved the TV to the cabinet and installed the cabinet door where the TV was. This is our DVD storage now.

We really like this configuration and now we don't strain our necks to watch TV from the old sofa. By removing the dinette we gained floor space to move around in as well. Search further on this forum. There are several threads of members who have installed recliners and sofas in place of the old sleepers. A lot of innovation is displayed.
