Roof Vent Covers

Looking at the MaxxAir and Camco roof vent covers for my bath fan. Do these allow the fan cover to open fully once they are installed? Any comments about the quality or advantages of one over the other? Both install the same way. The only real difference I can see is that the Camco has a removable grille. Comments?

I installed these and they allow the vent to open all the way, at least on my coach.

What vent fans do you have? If like our last two Dutch Stars and present Magna rig you have the Fantastic Fan ones then the cover opens till it senses resistance, then quits. So no problem if the cover doesn't open all the way. I verified that some years ago with Fantastic Fan support.

I've used both over the years and prefer the Camco because it opens up for cleaning.

We have the MaxxAire.
They Fantastic Fans do not open all the way! They do have removable grates and can easily be removed to clean.

Interesting, I didn't realize the MaxxAire had removable grates for cleaning.

I have MaxxAire covers on our FFs and the vents open all the way, and the covers are hinged on one side to lift them up for cleaning the vent fixture.
