I have tried to find the rubber seal around the standard 14" vents in the roof with no luck. Tried the normal places i.e., Camper World. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can find this weather seal? I'm talking about the one just under the moveable plastic lid opening. As I said earlier I have found all the other parts just not the weather seal.

Bob,
The only thing that I have found is to replace the entire lid to get the new seal.
http://www.campingworld.com/browse/products/index.cfm?prodID=1444&src=SRQB
Keep the old one as a spare in case of loss. My father had his blow off in the Shanandowa Mountains one year during a storm and he would have been real happy to have had spares to put immediatly back up instead dealing with plastic sheeting and tape during a storm.
Also with the replacement lid you don't have to leave the vent uncovered while you wait for the gasket adhesive to dry.
Regards,
Neil

I got them directly from Fantastic for free. The ones used in the '05 coaches have a tendency to stick and they are mailing free replacements.

Tom,
That's Fantastic!
You can't do much better than that.
You can ignore my previous message, I just double checked and the gasket is on the frames and not the lids as my faulty remembrence had indicated.
Regards,
Neil

Thanks Neil, I thought that was going to be the case. I guess it's called bit the bullet and just order the whole thing - done. I have decided to put a max cover over the vent as well and this should help keep the rubber from being sun backed.
Tom, thanks for the fantastic number I need one of those as well.

I can back up that Fantastic story by Tom. A good friend of mine just ordered a replcement fan blade for the Fantastic on his 20 year old Winnebago Cheiftan which he purchased used 18 years ago. Even though he thought he was purchasing a replacement part it arrive no charge. He called to find out when he would receive the bill, after all he was the second owner and had no expectation of it being covered under the warrenty, and he was told it was covered under the warrenty and that there would be no charge. I now feel better about the Fantastic fan in my 10 year old Vectra and wish there was one in the bathroom also. I just had to pay out almost $60.00 for the parts to repace the power lift motor in my Elixar/Jensen 14X14 vent and that was with me doing the work myself.
Regards,
Neil

Bob, if your vent is a non Fantastic brand, you can get the replacement seal from any RV parts store by asking them to order part #64365 from Coast Distribution System. They will know who this supplier is...they all have their catalog. Suggested retail is $2.49
