Are you kidding? With the home only at the framing sequence, and the BIG BOSS still was thinking about changing this and that, and "oh wouldn't it be cute if we did this and that" (think Change Orders), I most graciously gave them back. When he showed up that next morning to claim his "stuff" we both went dumpster diving to make sure I didn't miss anything the night before!

I think he learned a valuable lesson, by more specific when issuing instructions!

Chargerman-Mine is most definitely metal and not dried remnants from the tank. I am leaning toward the idea that it was easier for the installers to throw or lose stuff in the tank when it was installed and it is finally rusting into small enough pieces to pass out the drain.

I had the same issue and I was certain that it was metal. Looked and felt just like it. Even broke apart like rusted metal but I was corrected when I showed it to a few folks with experience. The fact is that there isn't any metal in the tank to rust. I since flushed out my tank real good a couple times and always dump with a close to full tank. The previous owner of my rig always used the macerator and therefor never gave it a good flushing dump. I don't use the macerator as it's slower and doesn't do an aggressive job. I do have a ringer in my tank and I know that helps the macerator but to me there's nothing like a full tank dumping and rinsing.

Hmm... Interesting! Maybe we should refer back to the earlier posts about too much iron in the diet
