have any of you tried the rv 360 vent cap? if so, might i have your valued opinion? i think it might be a worthwhile project if it will not interfere with the Maxxair vent cover. thanx, terry

Installed one on our Journey, very simple installation. Great product that seems to work exactly as advertised. Only wonder why someone didn't come up with it sooner, makes perfect sense, does the job, and is reasonably priced.

Insatalled two on my 2001 Sundancer, the way they worked was beyond belief. However, lost both of them and their replacements also. Contacted the company and they quoted a bad batch was produced and sent me replacements (in 10/05) at no charge. At the time I traded in the rig in 02/06, the factory replacements were still in place and working great.

My new rig currently does not have them only because the stand pipe is cut to short (at roof line) to install the RV360's. With a little mod on my part, they will be installed and can not be beat for what they do.

I installed one on my unit as well. As others have stated,it is a very simple installation. I have not had a black tank odor since.

I had good luck with the vent. Did as it advertised it would do. Traded in the old RV for my new one and plan to purchase a couple for it also.

I have seen and am currently using an alternate to the RV-360 which I find to be a much more superior product. Made entirely from aluminum and featuring a "low" profile this device works X-Tremely well. I saw this device at several major RV Shows and I was impressed.

If you're looking for an active continous holding tank odor remover you can forget about any other products.

Made in America the Xtreme Vent will work for you as well as it's worked for us.

A friend of mine installed one of these on his coach and it just kept spinning in circles (it's windy in Quartzsite.) It refused to head into the wind and after 24 hours of spinning & squeaking relentlessly, he removed it and tossed into the trash

He then went to "Gamblers" in Quartzsite, bought a RV 360 – problem solved

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>I just went out and checked mine. We've been running wind advisories here at the Texas Motor Speedway for the past 3 days and the Xtreme vent is nose into the wind. I can't figure it out maybe Arizona and Texas wind is the same but different.

No odor here on on the road. On the road is actually where it works best. I also appreciate the low profile when the overhead has branches.

Well it finally hit me.

I was standing on my roof ladder looking at the Xtreme vent for about 10 to 15 minutes putting its nose in the wind now SW between 15 gusting to 30 and the vent is pointing as best as it can without spinning around in circles.

You were kidding me right!

I can't see how it wouldn't point straight ahead. The aero package alone makes it impossible for the thing to spin out of control unless it got caught up in a tornado.

I got to watch that today and then we had a dust storm right at the end of the pole run. Winds were clocked as high as NW 43 MPH. Pleased to report Xtreme Vent performing well.

Not pleased to report that the wind knocked over my ground based sat dish and bent the LNB arm up. Right now I have 4 gallons of water anchoring the thing down and it's holding the tripod down. 33.32 pounds seems to be working but I'm watching it. The whole coach is shaking - had to take my flags down on the stern too much noise and shake rattle and roll.

Current winds are sustained at 26 MPH.

Under certain wind conditions the ceiling vent fan will pull black tank odors into the coach that are being emitted from the black tank vent on the roof. Will the installation of the RV 360 vent keep this from happening? It seems that if the wind is from the rear of the coach that the odors will still be drawn inside by the vent that is positioned forward of the black tank vent.

LK23's question in other rv360 forum...he PM'd me asking for more answers to his question.
Anyone?
