RV's Decorated with Chrismas lights - Show off your rig!
We are looking for Ideas on how to decorate. RV's are so much smaller than a Home and we want to go all out. We will be driving 1000's of miles as well so it has to stay together.
Post your pictures and any suggestions! Thanks!

Accent lights
We have installed blue LED outdoor Christmas rope lights under our RV as accents. We just attached them with wire ties and they have stood all types of weather. We travel south in the winter (from Canada) and have had no problem with the snow and ice affecting them. That gives them a good torture test until we get far enough south to get away from these conditions. We have had many favorable comments about how great they look. I wish I had pictures to show.

We put a fiber optic tree on the dash, and hang lights around the inside of the windshield on cup hooks, and on the awing.

You could replace the clearance lights with colored lights. Don't think the DOT would take it in the holiday spirit, but it's an idea. You could go all out and put flashers on them. Just don't camp next to me at the camp ground. I've seen large Christmas Tree decals that you could put on the sides, or make one out of colored duct tape. You could even do garland and ornaments with duct tape, too. I may be on to something here.

I just Googled Duct tape Christmas Tree and got quite a few hits. There are a few YouTube videos showing how to make a Duct Tape tree. I guess my idea wasn't so original.
How about putting fiber optics under the duct tape and light up the ends of the branches. Or fasten one of those scrolling signs to the side that would give Holiday Greetings to those you pass by.

The Travel channel had a show on a few years back and there is a place out west, I think, that had a parade of campers all decorated up with Christmas lights.

I have a small wooden tree on the dash, made by my grand daughter in 7th grade wood shop.
Also, here is a website for unlimited free country christmas music, no commericials.

You want to have it decorated going down the road? We put a Santa on the dash when traveling. When stopped, I've got Santa hats on the rearview mirrors with sparkling stars hanging from the mirrors, a Santa-hatted snowman flag on the front of the coach, a lighted Christmas tree on the table covering the steering wheel, small lights along the dash, rope lights outlining the front of site and a light net over the grapefruit tree. Picture is located here.

We put some stocking caps on our mirrors along with lights around the two palm trees on the lot. Some of the people in this park went way over the top. The best one is a village set up on the front dash of a Mountain Aire just down the street.
