Scrapping Airstream Land Yacht 36

I am new to motorhome community. I recently picked up a pristine 1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma-lite 33 with Chevy 454. No suprise the factory exhaust manifold have leaks. But.....I found a P30 chassis Land Yacht for almost free WITH BANKS POWER PACK system installed. I basically have to demolish the body to get rid of it. It has had horrible roof leaks for almost a decade.....moldy inside. Low miles, runs and drives.

Am I crazy to do the work to scrap this for the parts to maintain my motorhome?????

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I would do it but I am also an antique motorhome nut. Love to see those old coaches on the road!

I would take whatever you may need for yours off the chassis and take the rest to a junk yard to let them "recycle" the rest.

You might find a small demo operation to bust it up and haul off what goes in a dumpster away in dump truck or just load haul. Better if given large window to fill like if they have half load or day already.

I wouldn't scrap it without trying to sell parts first. Seems like at that age there would be demand.
