Thumbs down Sealers How to tell which is which??

I am planning on using Eternabond on the edge of my roof. I understand that it will not stick to silicon but I do not know how to tell the difference between silicon and Dicor which is what Winnebago shows as from the factory. I just got the motorhome but it is 10 years old model and I am not sure what the previous owner may have used. How can you tell the difference between the different types sealers? I do plan on removing as much old sealer as I can but I know silicon is very hard to get completely off.

Silicone usually has a 'sheen' to it and it feels 'slick'. The caulking around your tub/shower is most likely silicone and makes a goods reference. The Dicor/rubber caulking will look 'dull'.. more like concrete crack filler in sidewalks..

Heres a good example: The 'dull grey' sealer around the vent pipe is a Dicor type.. The white 'shiny' stuff on the cable is silicone...
