I didn't exactly run an ad on CL. We had been friends and rode dirt bikes in poker runs and enduros for years.

If the business rents the RV, all costs are deductible. It is a simple transaction.

If the business buys the RV, you will deal with depreciation and will have to keep up with the business use of the vehicle (any personal use will be taxable income to you).

If you buy the RV but plan to use it for business, you can deduct business mileage but no depreciation.
