Shower water temperature

First shower in the MH and I couldn't control the water temperature. It was either scalding or freezing. As little as a 1/4" change in the knob took the temp to either extreme. I read a few posts here that had a similar problem. Is there a repair for this or replace the valve with a temperature control type?

You adjust the water by the hot and cold water valves.
Do you have something else installed?

Turn the hot up all the way... crack the cold and only adjust the cold side.

On those pictures... I turned my faucet around so the hose is located at the bottom. Switching the H & C tab/buttons accordingly. This freed-up shower room. Goofy backwards design.

knob that you lift up for volume and side-ways for temperature. Hot left, cold right. There's a hand shower attached where a shower head would be.

Do yourself a favor and install a constant temperature control faucet. See the last couple entries in this thread. http://www.irv2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395575. This thing is great.

Nice installation. It looks like you built out the wall behind the shower. That won't work for me since that's the hallway wall. I found a Delta thermostatic control for $65 that should fit. I was hoping there was an easy repair until I get some down time to replace the valve.

Replaced the faucet with the Rozin faucet. I had to get creative to mount and close the 6" hole but well worth the trouble. Nice constant temperature output.
