What number should I dial the bed down to when climbing over 5000 foot mountains?

Rich, while resting on the bed I take both sides down to 20, when you get off the bed it will indicate around 5. We have not had any problems using these numbers.

We always took it down to 5 when we were using our Select Comfort bed. We did not change it from 40 the first time we did go up to about 3000' elevation. It was up to 80 or 90 when we got there...so we had always emptied it after that...
Good luck ...

I just returned from Cloudcroft New Mexico. 9,000 feet. I lowered the matress to 20 before ascending and that was just fine.
