Slide out carpet protectors

Hello everyone another question that has probably been answered. But I tried searching for it and I could not find it.

Has anyone used these plastic protectors to keep your carpet from getting marks on them from your slide out going in-and-out? The Marks come out with a little carpet shampoo. What does everyone do to keep their carpets clean? Also is this normal? Or am I the only one having this issue?Click image for larger version

You can buy 1/8" clear acrylic at Lowes or HD and cut it to the size you want!

I just put a throw rug down in the area the slide might touch.

Slide out-Slicker is the name. I used a set in our last 5er from a week after purchase. Sold that 5er 8 yrs later, no wear marks on the carpet. They cost $17 in 2005, now $65. I would check out the sheet Plexiglas Joe recommended, if you can find a way to prevent them from sliding on carpet. The Slide out-Slickers are nylon with small "pimples" on the bottom to prevent sliding on carpet.
