Slide out help
Both slideouts (Power Gear)on my 99 American Eagle quit working at the same time. Seems as though it is a fuse but I cannot find the fuse location. I have checked 3 fuse locations I know of...under the bed, in the dash behind the instrument panel and in the battery compartment. I found the motor on the living room slide but no fuse that I can see. Any other ideas would be appreciated as we just started our 2 week summer trip.
Thanks!!

Information such as what type and/or brand of slide system you have would be helpful. There are several brands and the troubleshooting is different for the different brands. Post this info and it's likely that someone will try to give you some help.

I see that you added that they are Power Gear. Sorry, but I know nothing about that brand.
You may try changin the title of your post to read "POWER GEAR SLIDE OUT HELP"
Hope you get the help you need.

I have a 5th wheel with 3 slides and with a different slide system. Each of my slides has its own motor, fuse protection and power input. I would assume that your two slides would also have their motor, fuse protection and power. But also share come common power or inputs. Might be something that they share as both slide are inop.
Here are two links to Power Gear that you might not have. One is the Service Manual for their slide systems and the other a Manual Index.
Hope they help.

Maybe the slide is powered from the chassis battery instead of house? Did you look for fuses on that system?

Brad,
I have two slides, both on the same controller. The controller is fused on the main 12v distribution panel. Of course, I don't if yours is or where yours is located. I tried a slow blow fuse, and finally ended putting in a self resetting circuit breaker.
Good luck,
Harold

We blew a pump fuse on our first trip out. Called Power Gear & they had me look for an inline fuse very near the pump (probably within 12"). Also told me, Winnebago had some out with 5 amp fuses & should have been 10 amp. We located and replaced the fuse, problem solved.

Thank you all for the suggestions.
After being tired of the close quarters, my 15 year old found it. For future reference it is in a fuse box labeled "Battery Control Fuses" in the battery compartment.
