Slide out moves out while driving on curve with high speed

I have a 2016 Sunseeker 3050S with a full wall electric slide out. The two new motors and the control board were replaced at the Crestview RV dealership since it was not functioning properly (it won't lock in place that can go out as far as 10 inches during driving, and not moving). I thought that fully fixed the issue. But during the recent trip, I found the slide out still moves out on its own about 4~5 inches out if the RV is turning left on highway speed since the slide out is on the left side of the RV. I bought 5 pieces of 2X10 wood block and place them on top of the slide out. At least I can complete my last trip without worrying about the moving out. I checked the motor images online. I believe it's a Lippert - Schwintek In-Wall Slideout. I don't think there is a lock mechanism on the motor itself to lock the slide out in place. Any idea how the motor itself can lock the slide out in place? I already setup appointment with the dealer, but it will be in January. Thank you.

After some readings, I think the motor would have a locking mechanism either mechanical or electronically energized to prevent moving from the control board signal. The old motor replaced did not appear to have a mechanical lever on the top. So I guess it's most likely electrically controlled. Or user error that I did not continue to press down the retract in button for another 5 sec for the motor to lock up. I will let the dealer to find out.

I have owned 2 coaches with full wall slides. The first was a 2009 Pace Arrow that had slide locks that automatically locked and unlocked with the slide in/out button. My present coach has a seperate lock button to lock the slide after its retracted.
It seems odd that you don't have electric locks either automatic or manual. Is it possible that your dealer bypassed the slide locks while trouble shooting the original slide problems? Might be worth the conversation when you return it to them.

Something similar happened to me. We were driving through a mountain gouge when I noticed my rear bedroom slide deployed in the sideview mirror. It only happened while driving at speed around a few hard turns.

I have an original slide motor that I had to repair last year. I think I have a mechanical brake/lock but need to get in there and inspect.

I don't remember I saw any lock switch / button. It's just the Retract In / Out button. I will ask more next time at the dealership. Every time I'm at the dealership, I have no chance to even talk with the technician, only those service adviser. I doubt about their knowledge.

I had an issue with a slide moving out a couple of inches. After some research I located the motor itself. In my case it was under the bed. It was actually under the false floor under the bed. My resolution was to move the brake arm on the motor. It took a couple of times but for almost 2 years now the slide out has not moved at all. In the photo I'm including you can see the brake arm at the top of this particular motor. All the ones I have seen seem to be located in about the same place. Good luck.

I thought the shwinteks just relied on gearing for the brake. Maybe they can switch to the high torque motors, geared even lower, and it will solve the problem. If it's not jumping the track it shouldn't be moving. Iirc the standard motors are around 300 to one, the high torque are 450 or so
