Slide Topper fabric removal issues

Hi,

My topper fabric recently completely tore off right on the coach side of the slide. Trying to replace and having a heck of a time getting the old fabric off. When I try to slide it off it does not budge. Made sure there are no fasteners on each end to prevent it from moving. Figured it is just stuck in there due to dirt, grime, etc. Tried copious amounts of WD40 to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I cut thru mine lengthwise with a razor utility knife. Just follow the slot. Then pull out the remnants with vicegrips.

If you are sure you removed the screw that holds the lip in the slot/track (sometimes the head has rusted away), use a flat screwdriver blade to open up the track a little on each end and get a grip to pull hard. Soapy water or WD40 in the track sometimes helps. I've seen a very few that are so badly jammed they have to be cut into sections and worked out a piece at a time.

Look for another screw...many times there is more than one.
Some are put in from the top of the rail into the head that is in the edge of the fabric

Mine had a screw in the middle. I also pried open the ends a little with a flat head. That helped as well. It will help putting the new one back in as well. U can close it back up when done with pliers

Thanks

Thanks everyone. Did not think to look in the middle for a screw. Will look for that and try some of the other suggestions.
