Solar Panel Winterizing

I have a 100 watt solar panel on the roof of my Minnie Winnie, connected to a charge controller and to two 12-volt batteries. I typically remove my batteries in the winter and store them at home, charging them regularly.
My questions are:
1) should I cover my solar panel?
2) should I disconnect it from the charge controller?
Thanks,

If you are certain that your charge controller is doing a great job I would tend to just leave it all hooked up. That's what I do. Going on 6 years for my batteries and they haven't started to drop off yet.

If you want to remove the batteries than covering the panel would take care of it IMO.

Read your charge controller manual. In most cases the directions are clear to disconnect the PV panel BEFORE disconnecting the battery.
