Storage bin doors won't unlock
I have two outside storage doors in my Thor Citation Sprinter motorhome that won't unlock. One is the door to the outside TV and the other is to the external power cable.
As I understand it, all the bins should use the same key, and in fact, I remember using my key to lock the TV door when we first bought the camper this spring. Now, the key won't turn in the lock.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get these doors open that does not involve major damage or hiring a locksmith?

If you don't have any graphite lubricant in your tool box (such as Lock-Ease spray lubricant), maybe temporarily use your silicone spray lube which I assume every RVer carries or even *cringe* WD40 to spray with the thin tube they supply to spray into the key hole. I've read, though, that WD40 should not be used on an ongoing baisis but only if you have to get into the compartment immeditately and don't have graphite or silicone. Put a small amount of graphite or silicone on the key too.

I don't know about Thor, but my outside TV cabinet door is a different key than my bay doors. Another issue, if the TV door doesn't open, it's often from the seal sticking. If the latch moves, sometimes you have to apply pressure to opening the door for a couple of minutes or more and then it will pop.
Lastly, a friend had a Thor product and couldn't get the latch/lock to operate. He had all but given up and was ready to drill it out. With some lubricant and about 10 minutes of moving the key in and out of the latch in small movements and twisting, I finally got the lock to turn and open.

Thanks. I'll try using graphite spray. Quite honestly, I don't care if I ever get the door to the outside TV open again, but the little door where my power cable goes is a real PITA to get the cable out when I want to plug in to shore power.

First liberally flood the locks w/ SILICONE SPRAY LUBE (SLIDE LUBE), then try the next day? My 28yo Nissan truck door locks now work like new, despite first thinking they were worn out. If no help, also possible a previous owner put those two on a different key? Locksmith can pick them pretty fast/ easy, youtube might even teach YOU? Good Luck P.s. Use the SILICONE on all locks, rv, home, car, you will be amazed.
