We put the Sun Guards (From RV Toy Store) on most of the windows on our 5er. I used the twist locks on all but the ones on the emergency exits which got snaps. I did not want the big ugly squares of Velcro on the RV. The snaps are attached with a single screw each and the twist locks are with two screws each. Install them with a small dab of caulk and all is fine.

They really cut down the solar load. We got the 94% and the wife complains if they are on the side on the shade.

Talk to Scott at RV Toy Store...he is very helpful.

Do NOT use the velcro system for any sunshades on your RV! Had them on large back window on a 5th wheel and the sun will eventually "cook" them. Tried to tack the velcro off the fiberglass and it was almost impossible. They were really stuck and the velcro system does not work all that well especially for large, heavy sunshade.

You are correct! We initially installed the sunshades with velcro, but the relentless sunshine cooked the "stick-um" and they practically melted off the surface. My hubby installed the snaps for the windshield shade and it works great. I can't believe I paid $35 extra to get those worthless Velcro pads sewn on.

Oh and BTW, the instructions say that the Velcro can be easily removed from the RV using WD40.
