Super Steer Trac Bar F53 SS400

I'm installing a super steer rear trac bar on my 2006 F53 chassis. I'm concerned that the mounting plate plate which is mounted on the axle is to close to the frame (less than 1/2"). has anyone experienced the same problem and is this ok.

If your Ford springs are weak the box floor could be closer to bar.

Cappy, I installed the UTF53V10 trac bar from Brazels RV on our 06 F-53.

I wondered about the same thing. I measured the distance between the axel and the axel stops (rubber bumpers)and found that the trac bar had just over a half inch more clearance. So, not a problem. Since both of our bars look the same, are even the same color, and are reportedly manufactured by the same company. I assume the're much the same. Only difference I note from your photo is that my bar's length adjusts from the end next to the frame not the dif-ferential bracket end. Could your bar be mounted in reverse, and therefor higher? Hope this and the above installation link may be of some help. You'll like the difference these bars make, our driveability is now great. Danny

My trac bar is for the F53 18000GVW with the Dana 80 the mounting bracket bolts to the sway bar mounting bracket on the drivers side.
