Surge Protection Made Easy

I was surfing the internet and came across this website from Florida Light and Power that explains surge protection. It lists the important feature of what to look for when buying a surge protection device with explanation of each feature. It's a good primer for anyone thinking of purchasing one of these devices.

Good info, but I suggest that RVers looking for greater protection against the kinds of faults found in some RV parks, etc., look into the total protection that is provided by such devices as: EMS-LCHW50C . Not only do these protect you from voltage spikes.surges caused by lighting , etc., but they also protect against a multitude of other kinds of faults such as loss of ground connection or neutral wire connection at the pedestal, errors in the AC frequency that deviate substantially from the standard 60 Hz, and also high and low voltage, all of which can cause severe safety issues along with damage to equipment.
