Switch lights?

I have some switches in my MH like this one.

I'm trying to figure out if the area below label is supposed to light up when on or only with headlights on? Seems like there should be some indication. I have similar switches for other functions and have the same issue with them. Like the one by entry for battery cutout. No indication if on or off.

Thanx - Dean

Can you see the backside of the switches?

There is a small light under the switch that lights up whenever you turn your generator on. If yours is like mine, it only lights up when the generator is operating. Hope this helps

Small oval should be lit when gen is running (blinks while starting). Large circle and words lit when headlights are on.

Thanks. Looks like I'll be pulling some things apart to test.

I had a Monaco Diplomat with these switches. It was common problem for the small light (like the one at the bottom of your gen switch) to burn out. If you're handy, you can replace the bulb with an LED.
